went for my 2nd cross training today!
At Macritchie this time.
And i must say for the first time in my life, i ran 9k without stopping!
It was quite okay, and i wasn't that tired cause i haven't, in my entire life, ran such a long distance before and i wasn't sure whether i'd be able to last.
And running without a watch is really terrible cause you don't know how long you have left!
Worse since it was my first time running that route and everything looks the same anyway, just trees, so it's not like there was any interesting scenery to enjoy.
I think the highlight of the run was when a squirrel suddenly dashed across the path in front of me, narrowly missing getting squashed by my shoe.

After the run we walked back to school for team talk and Mr Tay very kindly bought us lots of yummy goodies to eat!
Peach tarts and cream puffs and eclairs and log cakes and what not. all in the spirit of Christmas eve. yay (:
Team talk by Mr Quek after that gave me a deeper insight into what cross country comps are about i guess, so i think my individual goal for now is to try and make the school team?
as Mr Q said, 8 register, 6 run but only 4 are counted finally for the school's ranking.
It'll be tough i guess, but i think it's worth a try (:
And i think it's quite cool that for the first time in my life, i'm actually fighting and working for a chance to be in the school team.
So it'll just be alot sweeter if i really do make it into the school team and run for the school :D

Ha. I really need a watch!
Excellent time to get myself one anyway, it shall be my christmas present to myself. :D

Speaking of which, went to watch National Treasure with Wanting today!
I would say it's comparable to the first one, but i'm not sure which is better since i can't really remember the first one anymore.
But i think the second one was not bad.
Except i think they tried to squeeze in too many things into the plot. I mean the whole clues part was fine, it'll leave you awed by the ingenuity of it all as usual. But there was one specific part in the middle where it feels like a part of the film has been entirely cut off.
well, shan't say too much or it'll be a spoiler.
It's good anyway, worth your money. i think. ha. (: <
and it left me really interested in Lincoln's assassination.
i think US history is really fascinating 8)

anw, before the movie started i tried to find a nice watch.
but to no avail since all the nice ones were not digital ):

oh well.
it's Christmas tomorrow! (:
